Response: As we started the second part of the mivie, it begins with Malcolm taking a stand for black people by reciting a speech. Then, Elijah Muhammad is called up and the whole crowd begins to cheer and clap. After, Malcolm is confronted by a man who gets carried away by security after threatening Malcolm, and Malcolm’s response was that he was “hungry” for knowledge. In this clip, I liked how the director made it seem like the threat was nothing to Malcolm and that others opinions don’t have much of an effect. Additionally, in this part of the movie, the viewers find out that Elijah Muhammad was talking behind Malcolm’s back, and not in a good way. Malcolm also takes into consideration what his wife said when they got into an argument. What she said was that he wasn’t prepared for the worst which in his case was betrayal.
